This is a great go-to-book after Rich Dad, Poor Dad. He really breaks it down and shows you the difference between the left side of the quadrant and the right side and how important and financially solid the right side can really be for you and your family. I"m working on moving from the S (self employed) quadrant to the B (business) and move to I (investing). Passive income is the way to go folks, your jobs are no longer secure as they once were; you can get sacked unexpectedly, the best thing in your corner if that happens if having multiple cashflow properties that offset life situations like that. Recommend!

This book gets your mind on the right track, but doesn't teach you. Many that buy his books believe they will be taught how to do things. This isnt real education, as he doesnt tell you how to do anything. He just gives concepts like "Find ways to provide income for yourself so that you dont have to work." DUH, that's why we have the book. What he really wants is for you to keep buying his books and getting vague concepts, buy his game, and pay for his school. He mentions at the end of this book his specialty is marketing... consider that. Also, you'll realize a lot of the book is him repeating himself b/c he is trying to fill a book, similar to a high school essay that needs to reach a certain amount of pages. Lastly, early in the book he shames people for using financial advisors saying advisors don't know what they're talking about... then in the last chapters he admits he has advisors in every category and they play a huge part in his cash flow and business decisions. (eye roll)

I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for financial advice. He is really good at saying it can be done, but does not tell you how. The whole book is about how he did it, but not what steps you should take or even ways to learn what can be done.

A must read for anyone who wants to understand how to leverage and generate more income without "finding a better paying job"This book perfectly describes the various ways to make an income... a job, a business, investments... etc... and helps break down that information in an easy way to understand while also inspiring you to take action. Learning is one thing, but to be inspired to make changes you need to take that information and turn it into an action plan is a rare quality to find in a finance book.This one book could have easily replaced the majority of my accounting college classes, and still would have provided more value than my $250k business degree. I have had the pleasure of rereading this book a few times since purchasing it, and find just as much value each time I browse through the chapters. There is so much information in it that it is easy to overlook things, which makes the thought of re-reading it exciting.This book is definitely valuable to keep in your library, and not just rent or borrow.

Another great book by Robert Kiyosaki. I started with Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and this book is the continuation of Roberts examples and explanations on why people are where they are financially and how they can progress to a wealthy lifestyle. In this book, Robert describes the four quadrants (Employee, Self-Employed, Business Owner and Investor), what each of them can expect of their lives, and the best part is: he also explains how to transition from working for money, to having your money work for you. I absolutely love this book, it's easy to read, and easy to understand. It's also easy to implement and gives you the courage to try.

Loved this book. I think many people who read Robert's books are looking for a "how-to" guide to getting rich or acquiring more money, yet they skip the first and most important step - becoming the kind of person who deserves wealth. Because honestly, if you haven't accomplished that first and most vital step, while you may still acquire wealth, it will never stay with you or bring you real happiness. This book goes into more detail on the kind of person you need to become and the personal changes you need to undertake before you can ever hope to become truly wealthy and successful. I would suggest reading this book slowly and taking every word of it very seriously, using a lot of critical thinking, analysis, and not overlooking the subtleties within the text that give you valuable insight into the thought process a very wealthy, successful and well-known man. I have always admired Robert because he actually takes the time and effort to try and educate other people on how to become more successful and wealthy in many ways, whereas many who achieve wealth may become recluse or self-serving. You are always lucky to have someone who has been there, done that and is willing to share their experiences, helping to smooth out our path towards similar goals. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to my friends, my family, and you.

Robert continues what we're taught in Rich Dad Poor Dad, but in more depth. RD's CASH FLOW Quadrant takes you through the different mindsets between employees, self-employed, business owners, and investors (aka the 4 quadrants). All 4 mindsets are needed in society, but the ones that know how all 4 quadrants work and take action to be a B or I, are the ones that gain financial freedom. Great book.

If you like Robert's books you'll like this a lot. You have to understand that Robert is the mindset king. He never, EVER gives you a how-to. There are lots of those books out there. Learning the contents of this book by heart is essential for anyone who wants to be a good bluegrass banjo player. I promise you this is the best foundation. Get the Foggy Mountain Banjo album and pick along. You can learn the melodic and Reno style stuff later, after you’ve mastered the contents of this book note for note, finger for finger. Do this, and it will transform your playing. This is something you can easily do more than once and get something different out of it each time.Just as an aside: Nobody ever seems to mention that the book is co-written by a world-class plastic surgeon. I wonder how far that went toward the surgical precision of Scruggs-style picking.

No one knows "scruggs" better than scruggs. Have worked through first 12 lessons. Very methodical, very good progression. By far best instruction I have received so far, including hiring instructors. Have made more progress with this book and CD as a beginner than any other method.

I bought this book around 1969 as I recall my first banjo had a goat skin head on it . My mom said if I reallywanted to play the banjo I had to take lessons. So I set up to take lessons for some reason I had to cancelthe first lesson so the teacher said he didn't have time for me. that's when I bought the Earl Scruggs book and taught myself.Learned Cripple Creek first. but Foggy Mountain Breakdown was what I really wanted to learn after seeing Bonnie & Clydein 1967. In the late 70s while in the army I bought a new Gibson Mastertone for about 800 bucks its in like new condition now

If you want to play bluegrass, go to the source. Get this treasure. I got the Kindle version and it includes the audio files of Earl talking and playing within the text. It’s easy and simple to do. You don’t need a CD player or anything but your Kindle reader (iPad, iPhone or other tablet). You don’t need to switch between the Kindle reader and a browser to access audio files. It’s all I’ve needed to progress to low intermediate level on the 5 string banjo in four months.

Originally I purchased the 1968 edition, original soft cover thinking that had to be the best but not so much if your wanting to use the book to learn from. This enhanced edition had readable tablature and updated information on everything from Earls life to learning techniques. Downside is you cannot directly print the tablature from this kindle edition. Amazon thinks it's ok for your to open your kindle (app) every time you want to play some music. Obviously nobody at amazon plays a banjo! Otherwise a great book.

Start At The FrontSimply put, one of the best books on the planet for learning the 5-string banjo. Don't start in the middle and try to figure it out from there. Many people learning to play music start too fast and then blame the source for not being up to whatever they consider easy. Start with the publication page and go from there. Spend a year learning the right hand techniques. Spend another year learning the left hand, THEN learn some songs. I've been playing banjo since 1975 and started with this book. Learning to play an instrument is not easy. Hacking at one on the other hand is not too difficult.So, if you don't have the time to spend learning, find something else to do like collecting stamps or something.

I am a beginning banjo player and advanced guitar player. This book has given me a lot of great information. I did move pretty quickly through the book, but there are plenty of more advanced licks and tons of songs that will keep me using it for quite a while. The book starts off nicely. It's good to just read and get some background on Scruggs and the workings of the banjo. You probably want to get it before you buy your first banjo, so you don't just start into the exercises. Again the exercises are good. There is notation for which fingers to pluck the strings with, which was very helpful for me since I have never used finger picks. The CD is helpful for listening to the way you should sound when you get the exercises down. He does to play a bit quickly from time to time, but when you're starting out you'll probably want to play along with a slower setting on a metronome instead of the CD. There are a lot of good songs in here. The only minor complaint is that there isn't a lot about backup playing and a lot of the information is for soloing. That said, there is information on backup playing. I just wish there were a bit more about weaving melody lines into the chord playing for backup. I'll definitely keep this book around for a while.

Looks like this will be a great book to learn with. Be warned, however, that if you have the original Kindle fire or computer that is not ios,you will not be able to access the audio. I didn't notice the disclaimer until I had already purchased the book and went back to make sure I had read correctly that it was included.
